Man, I'm tired still. No matter what, these conventions always wear me out and C2E2 was no exception.

This was an excelent con. The venders were friendly, the attendees we're mostly friendly, the volunteers were very friendly. Evil Yoda and myself were there for the entire weekend and we felt welcome no matter where in the convention we were. Schedualing kept us from seeing everything we wanted to, but if you've ever been to a convention you know how that is.

Overall I'd give the convention an 8/10. Free Grayhound shuttles to and from the center. The con site direction signs were very large and easy to read. (At six feet or taller they're a little hard to miss.) The volunteers were informative and helpful. The free swag was awesome, we walked out with so much. Heh, heh, heh.
The Quidditch match was a hoot and super heated. You thought the fellas get roudy on Sunday night Football, HA! Even the girls were acting like that one coach at a homecoming game. Let me be the Golden Snitch, you'll never catch me! The Speed Dating event was also a sight to see since I've never seen one except on movies and TV. It was well organized and made quite comical by its host who thought he was Lewis Black on Broadway without the cussing. (I admit, I was tempted. There were actual girls this time.)

My main complaints were the lack of a Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament although is was stated that one would be held. (Nothing against Magic or D&D, but I wanted to duel.) The video game area, which I had thought would had been a bit larger, but since it was never as crowded as I had expected it did fine. Plus the speaker for the Masqurade Contest on Saturday night got on my nerves. Not only did the Masqurade start late, at no one's fault really, but he wasn't that funny.
The man was doing fine at first singing to a spliced video of Superman. He did a really great job with that, but the other two songs afterwards were overkill. Although I do give him credit for singing in Japanese, but when loads of people start walking out while he sung from Romeo x Juliet and Code Geass, I think he may have over stayed his stage time. Also I would have prefered for the contestent to have a different call name, not just a number because when you announce the winner by number a lot of people didn't clap right away from being too busy trying to figure out who number 6 was.

Aside from all of that, which really isn't much if you count it out, I had a great time. Met loads of people, saw loads of cool things, even got my picture taken with a Dalek, and next year I'm going back!

I was given a flyer today for Shen Yun Performing Arts. It's an elegant performance of Chinese dance. I always get a flyer for this every year, but I never either have the time or the money and this year is no exception. *sigh*
Well, I'm including the link to their website so can see what I'm talking about. If you are able to see this then get to the show and buy me a ticket as well. ;)
