A Dream Within a Dream, Within a Dream, Within a Dream...

February 22, 2012

So last night i watched sucker punch for a review and i must say it blew my mind.

An action fantasy set in the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality.A young girl (Baby Doll) is locked away in a mental asylum by her abusive stepfather where she will undergo a lobotomy in five days' time. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what's real and what is imaginary. She has been locked away against her will, but Baby-doll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls -- the outspoken Rocket (Jena Malone), the street-smart Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), the fiercely loyal Amber (Jamie Chung) and the reluctant Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish) -- to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors, Blue (Oscar Isaac), Madam Gorski (Carla Gugino) and the High Roller (Jon Hamm). Led by Baby doll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey -- if they succeed -- will set them free. now this movie has an awesome soundtrack and the story is clever. the fight scenes are over the top and will rock you like nothing else. the ending will throw you for a loop and you will be fixed to your seat. must see.

The Classic Hybrid of Human and Demon

November 29, 2011
I am of course talking about "Devilman" by GoNagai. I had watched the live action remake for our Halloween report so I'm sorry for posting this so late. :P
The movie takes on the entire Devilman story from beginning to end with the exception of Devilman fighting Amon. Yeah, that was a brutal fight and I'm sad not to see them re-enact it especially since the fights scenes were so awesomely made. In my opinion there weren't enough Demon-Mode fights. Half of the time Akira is in Hybrid-Mode to fi...

Machine Movie Number Three

October 11, 2011
So i watched "Transformers: Dark of the moon" and i must say it was intresting.  Now for those who have been living under a rock, this is based off the toy line of said name. The first two got mixed and/or bad reviews yet  was able to  make huge bundles of cash in the process. This movie is good but it seems this was made just beacuse 3-D is in and kind of forgot to work on the story a little. I would explain it to you, but it would take too long. so i will say that if you like insane, over t...

Thor, The God of Thunder

October 9, 2011
This is my review for Thor. In case you never heard of this character or need a refresher course then you are in luck. Thor is based on a marvel comic created by Stan Lee and the late Jack Kirby that chronicles the story of Thor and his adventures in Midgar(Earth), and his homeworld of Asgard. This movie has it all: Action, Comedy, Drama and suspense along with some romance. With the current Avengers movie on the way i recomend that you watch this movie as well as the other marvel movies and ...
